1916 SEARS ROEBUCK MODERN HOMES
With its exposed rafters and Craftsman-style clustered porch columns, this is an uncommonly "artistic" Foursquare. Four bedrooms are upstairs, but in an unusual spin, the bathroom is located downstairs next to the kitchen. A large reception hall imposes more formality on the plan than might otherwise be expected, but overall, the room flow is good.
In the 1923 catalog, the plan is renamed as the Woodland and comes in two variations. The first, like the 1916 model, is a four-bedroom with the bathroom located on the main floor. The second plan has a large closet on the main floor, and the bathroom is moved to the second floor with five small bedrooms.

Did you know you probably have most of the ingredients for these mosquito repellent candles already in your home? Yep! Not only are these candles super easy to make, but the supplies and ingredients are also pretty simple.

First slice one lemon and one lime (this will be enough for two candles).

Then add a couple of slices of lemon and lime to the jar.

Next add a couple of sprigs of basil.

Then fill jar with water up to threads.

After that, add in 10 – 15 drops of lemongrass oil.

Now stir.

Then add in floating candle.

Finally, light the candle and enjoy a pest free summer!

Hi there! We’re Claire & Andy, and we live on a quiet acreage in rural Minnesota with our son, our dog, and our turtles. We love animals, sports, being outdoors, the water, family adventures, and watching movies. We’ve been happily married since 2007 and became parents when Luke joined our family through adoption in 2017. We never knew we could love as deeply as we do until we met our son and hope to share that love again. We have an open and very positive relationship with Luke’s birth family. We hope that Luke, and any other children that may someday join our family, grow up never doubting the unconditional love that surrounds them everyday.
