The temperature is expected to hit triple digits this week with an extreme heat warning starting on Thursday so it's important to know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, both dangerous conditions.
What to Do:
🌡️ Move to a Cool Place: Get out of the heat and into a cooler environment as quickly as possible.
💧 Drink Water: Hydrate with water or a sports drink. Avoid alcohol and caffeine.
☂️ Cool Down: Apply cool, wet cloths to your body or take a cool bath. Use fans if available.
🚨 Emergency Action for Heat Stroke: If someone shows signs of heat stroke, call 9-1-1 immediately. While waiting for help, try to cool the person down with any available means (ice packs, cool cloths, etc.).
Stay vigilant and take these steps to protect yourself and others. Recognizing the signs early and responding quickly can save lives!
