Is now a good time to buy? That is the age-old question. I am celebrating my 10th year in real estate and I have never experienced a time like this where the opportunity to purchase your dream house has been better. Yes, interest rates are higher than they have been but inventory is up and sellers are making concessions. What does this mean for buyers? This means that buyers have options, lots of options, on homes, how they want to structure deals and finding that perfect location. Many sellers are offering to purchase rate buy downs for buyers some as much as 2% so now instead of looking at rates in the low to mid 6% range you can could possibly get in to a home in the 4% range. If you are thinking about buying a new home now is the time to get the ball rolling. As of now we still have plenty of inventory and sellers are willing to work with buyers. As the weather heats up so will the competition. I know rates are higher than they have been but it's better to lock up your dream home now and when rates fall you can always refinance to a lower rate. Don't wait before it's too late, once rates drop competition will pick back up!
