The nudging urge to work for the public, where I would face new challenges daily, propelled me into real estate. I also owned and operated a carpet and paint store for 20 years in Gladwin. While there, I acquired excellent organizational skills, a unique aesthetic sense, attention to detail, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. The experience further made me very personable and elevated my customer care and ability to focus on the client's needs and offer personalized service. Pricing your home too high might sound like a strategy, but in today’s market, it can actually cost you.

Buyers have more options now, and overpriced homes often sit longer, get fewer showings, and eventually need price reductions.

The key is pricing strategically from day one to create demand and strong buyer interest. 🔑

It’s been a little quiet for me on Facebook lately… but definitely not quiet in the real estate world around here. 🏡

Between listings, sales, training agents, and everyday broker life, a few properties have actually sold before I even had time to post them here!

The Gladwin County market has definitely stayed active this spring, although buyers are taking their time and becoming more selective than they were the past few years.

I’ll try to do a better job getting caught up here again. Thanks for continuing to follow along with Real Estate One Gladwin and all of our agents.

Selling your home? Start smart.

The sellers who are having success right now aren’t waiting for the market to change… they’re adjusting to it.

What I’m seeing locally is this:

👉 Pricing matters more than ever.
The first price is still the most important one. Getting that right upfront saves time, stress, and usually money in the long run.

👉 Patience matters too.
Homes aren’t flying off the market like they were a couple years ago, and that’s okay. A well-prepared home, priced correctly, is still selling.

Bottom line… this isn’t a bad market. It’s just a different one.

And with the right approach, homes are still selling every day.

(And for those asking — I’ll be out of the office Friday through Monday for Easter weekend, back Tuesday.)
