A Monday in CT real estate, Happy 2026 my friends! 🤍

I was looking at the data for our area, and it had me reflecting.

Over the years, my husband and I have intentionally used real estate to help build our long-term security. Moving every 2–3 years hasn’t always been fun 😅, but it has allowed us to pay down a significant amount of debt simply through appreciation.

That’s what inspired me to share these stats.

If you’re already a homeowner — I’m celebrating you.
And if you’re not a homeowner yet — consider this your nudge to get off the bench.

Home values are likely to continue rising, simply because over the last 20 years we’ve built far fewer homes than the number of people who need them 🤷🏼‍♀️

For the last three years, building seemed out of reach, expensive & just down right terrifying for our clients. Understandably so, as builders we understand the feeling.. it’s been tough. But I’m here to tell you, much has changed for the industry & we are finally seeing some relief and predictability in costs. I wanted to share some insight with you tonight, as I do think building is in the favor of the consumer in many ways right now.

If you bought your home within the last 3 years, more than likely your home value has changed. Anything can happen at anytime, so I liked to remain prepared. My advice to you is that you contact your agent and have them prepare the most up to date market analysis on your home, then check your policy. If it doesn’t match, up your coverage immediately. If you do not have an agent, reach out and I’ll be happy to prepare one for you.

If there is one thing I’ve learned about business, its relationships will always bring you further than focusing on the sale. One of the things I love about real estate is working with my clients and knowing that I get to be a part of life milestones with them. If you're an entrepreneur, I encourage you to shift your thinking from sales being the most important thing to creating an excellent customer experience and watch the shift happen in your business!
