25 years.

I was fortunate to spend time in the Twin Towers, and there are memories of those buildings that have stayed with me all these years. I remember standing high above Manhattan, looking out at a view that seemed to go on forever. The city below. The water beyond. The unmistakable energy of New York, somehow appearing quiet from that far above. It was extraordinary.

I have built a career around homes and places, and I am constantly reminded that buildings become meaningful because of the lives lived within them. The memories made there. The people who walked through their doors.

And on this anniversary, I think about all of the people who walked through those doors on an ordinary Tuesday morning.
The coffee carried into elevators. The conversations in hallways. The calls home. The plans for later that day. Thousands of individual lives moving forward, with absolutely no way of knowing how profoundly the world was about to change. Ordinary lives unfolding in an extraordinary place.

Perhaps that is what feels most profound after all these years.
Today, I remember the view.
I remember the buildings as they stood.
I remember those who never came home.
And I remain deeply grateful for the courage, humanity and unity we witnessed in the days that followed.

JUST CLOSED | A Story Built on Trust

These clients came into my world through a referral from a great friend—something I never take for granted. There is a certain weight to being recommended by someone who knows you well. They are not simply sharing your name; they are placing a little bit of their own trust and reputation in your hands.

And in this case, that trust traveled all the way from Indiana to Connecticut. My buyers were making a significant move and ultimately purchased their new home without ever seeing it in person...Not once.

There is something remarkable about that when you really consider what it means. A home is deeply personal. It is how the light comes through the windows, how the rooms connect, what you see when you look outside, how the neighborhood feels, the condition of the things photographs don't quite capture—and sometimes simply the instinct you have when you walk through the door.

When my clients couldn't be here to experience those things themselves, I needed to experience them for them. Every showing happened through my eyes. Every detail needed to be communicated clearly. Every question mattered.
