Congratulations to Shawn and Samantha 🏡
So here’s the backstory…
On Friday 2/27, I decided to go to the bar by myself to have a glass of wine because I had such a long week. I was approached by a gentleman who asked to sit beside me while I was texting on one of my phones. Then another one of my phones started to ring. He asked me why I had so many phones (3) and if I sold drugs, lol. I told him no, I sell houses and I work a lot.
He proceeded to ask me if I would accept a new client, and I told him sure! He advised me that his best friend was looking to purchase a home but wasn’t having the best luck with agents. I gave him my business card, and he provided me with his friend’s phone number.
The next day I reached out to the friend (Shawn), but he didn’t respond. However, a few days later he texted me and said that he and his fiancé wanted to have a conversation with me.
On 3/5 we did a conference call, and they told me about the lack of communication and support they had received from previous agents over the last few years. I advised and educated them on the process and committed to meeting their standards of communication (which were the bare minimum). After our initial conversation, they called me back and said they wanted me to represent them!
We then began the preapproval process and started searching for homes immediately. By 3/16 we were under contract, and I was able to negotiate half of their closing costs ($6k) to be paid by the seller 😌
I say this to say, sometimes God brings people into your life right when you need them. And sometimes strangers will support you before the ones you expect support from. I hadn’t known this couple for two months, and within that time I was able to help them achieve the biggest purchase of their lives so far. They didn’t know me, but they gave me a chance.
I appreciate them and every client who has given me a chance and trusted the process, because it does work!
Now I’m about to head to another bar, sit all of my phones on the counter, and start a conversation about real estate 😂
