A leaseback allows the 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, essentially “renting back” the property from the new owner.
