Itś been a bit busy lately with homeschool winding up and lots of activities galore. In the middle of all that, I also changed brokerages! I loved Swell and am so grateful for their support over the last year but when my broker Dara J. Friedlander decided to start her new venture with NextHome Partners Realty, I took the opportunity to move with her! It has been a wonderful experience so far and Iḿ looking forward to growing my business while giving my clients an exceptional experience!

The first half of 2024 has been good to me! My husband introduced me to his coworker and wife who just so happened to also be our neighbors. They were thinking about moving but had made no plans. I had no idea how quickly that would escalate. She told me she was looking for a "unicorn". She needed a home under a certain budget which had a whole separate building for her to build her dream kitchen (she's a professional cake baker). Well we definitely found the unicorn! It had an outdoor garage building that could fit 4 cars..and then some! I told her she can now build a whole cake factory 😃
Well the other part of this was that they also needed to sell their house. And to their credit, we were able to list the house in two weeks of that decision! I learned all about "domino closings"😅. In this case, three homes had to sell back to back, if any one fell through, the whole thing would fall apart. But my intuition told me that we had a solid offer and that everything would be fine...and it was! Ok prayer also helped with that!

Aside from the learning and growth, my favorite part of all of this was the relationships formed. I not only gained clients, but can now call them my friends! I hope Tara and John are able to build their dreams in their new home! Needless to say I am deeply grateful to them for trusting me to be their agent!

I know it's been a little while since I've posted. A few things have happened since April. The first thing was that my broker, HK Maxwell, went to be with the Lord. She was the one who took me in and let me stay under her at Open Door Realty for the past few years as I tried to figure out what to do with my real estate license. I hadn't planned on Homeschooling when I decided to study and sit for the real estate exam several years ago. But when COVID hit and my children were home from school, I made the decision that I loved being their teacher. HK allowed me to sign on under her brokerage and charged me no fees. That was great since I didn't have any clients! She was a very sweet woman who cared about everyone, and a pillar in the Korean community in Richmond. Her passing was unexpected and hit me pretty hard. Although I know she's in a better place, I definitely miss her.

But now I was left with having to find another brokerage. Since this was a big decision, I waited to see what the Lord would do. And of course, as only God would have it, He lead me to go through a series of events that landed me exactly where I needed to be..Swell Real Estate Co. Swell is a boutique real estate firm that started in the Hampton Roads area and is expanding into the RVA market. It was everything I had been looking for! My new broker, Dara, has become like a friend to me and is there whenever I need her😌

So as I'm writing this, I am happy to say that over the past month and a half, I have been learning so much while helping my new clients buy and sell, and building new relationships! More to come on that...
