Something I’m seeing more and more with buyers right now…
They’re not just asking,
“Do I like this home?”
They’re asking,
“Does this work for my life… and my pet?”
And honestly, it makes sense.
Nearly half of U.S. households have a dog, and about a third have a cat. That’s a lot of families making decisions with their pets in mind.
I’ve had clients:
Choose a home because it has a fenced yard
Pass on a home because they couldn’t add one
Fall in love with a space because they could picture their cat in a screened-in porch
These aren’t small details — they’re deal breakers.
Buyers today are thinking about real, everyday living:
Where does the dog go?
Will the floors hold up?
Is there space to roam safely?
Are there walking paths or parks nearby?
If a home doesn’t work for their pet, many are willing to walk away.
