🏡 Should You Pay a Buyer's Closing Costs When Selling Your Home?

One question many sellers are asking in today's market is whether they should offer to help pay a buyer's closing costs.

The answer depends on several factors, including local market conditions, the home's price point, inventory levels, days on market, and the strength of the buyer's offer. Seller-paid closing costs, often called seller concessions, can help attract more buyers, especially those who may be financially qualified but need additional cash to cover upfront expenses.

That doesn't mean every seller should automatically offer concessions. In some situations, a seller may receive stronger offers without providing any closing cost assistance. In others, offering concessions can help a home sell faster or prevent a deal from falling apart during negotiations.
