I am very moved by Glen Ellyn’s 9/11 display this year.

I can’t believe it’s been 25 years since this dreadful day took so many lives. I was a senior in college and I remember waking up that day, turning on the tv and realizing quickly something was very wrong. We went to class and there were fighter jets flying over, which wasn’t normal.

25 years later, as the wife of a firefighter, the devastation of this day hits a lot closer to home.

Keeping all those who lost loved ones on this day close to my heart as they continue to grieve. I hope soon we can all come back together as a country just as we did on September 12, without the tragedy.

Never forget 🙏🏻 💔 🇺🇸.
