People ask me everyday how the Real Estate market is doing. This gives you a snapshot of the difference between August 2020 and August 2021 in real numbers and percentages. The gap in the number of closings will close, as the end of 2020 was the start of the buyer frenzy. Inventory is down 40% over last year, but (I predict) inventory will remain flat this year. Historically, inventory decreases this time of year. With prices still high (median price is up 18% here) a lot of sellers still plan to see what they can get for their home. Of inventory remains flat, the difference in inventory levels year over year will decrease. So, how is the Real Estate market in Highland Park? It’s awesome! New inventory is coming on everyday and buyers aren’t facing multiple offers on ALL of their offers… only on some. Sellers are trying to test the market with high prices and we are seeing some of those houses that are priced a bit too high sitting longer than expected. Questions about this? Call or text me!
