Homeownership is about so much more than having a place to live. For many people, a home is one of the **largest assets they will ever own** and an important tool for building long-term wealth.

Every mortgage payment can help build equity. That equity can eventually give you options—to move into a larger home, invest in another property, fund future goals, or simply create greater financial security.

Too many people assume they need a huge down payment, perfect credit, or a certain income before they can even consider buying. **That isn't always the case.**

If homeownership is one of your goals, don't automatically assume it's out of reach. Start by finding out what you qualify for and what steps you can take now to get there.
