A transaction coordinator is an integral part to a successful real estate deal. A good TC helps manage the administrative and logistical aspects of a transaction, ensuring it moves smoothly from contract to closing.
Connie Barfield is the best TC in the business and she has been a tremendous asset to me and my clients over the past few years. I wanted to shine the spotlight on her by asking her to share a few insights from her time as a real estate professional.
1. How long have you been in real estate? And how long have you been a TC?
In RE: June will mark 18 years!
As a TC: 12 years.
2. (Approximately) how many deals have you TC’d on?
Over 2,300!
3. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen in your time as a real estate professional?
A deal killed over a bird bath in the front yard, or nearly tanked over faded outdoor curtains!
During a CRAZY market:
People lining up in front yards by 6 AM to see houses due to insane bidding wars.
Buyers offering plasma TVs or even vehicles with their home purchase just to seal the deal!
4. Have you noticed any trends in the Phoenix housing market over the last 6 months, based on all the agents you work with? If so, what?
Homes I thought would sell fast (great location, price, quality) are sitting. Meanwhile, less impressive ones are going quickly and above list price! You just never know what’s valuable to someone else.
5. If you could give one piece of advice to buyers or sellers about the transaction process, what would it be?
Trust your Realtor! Don’t shop on other websites—let your agent do the work they’re educated and trained for.
Shout out to Connie Barfield Transaction Coordinator !
