A bit about me!
I grew up in Carlsbad, CA, hanging on the beach, surfing, playing baseball and devouring fish tacos and “California Burritos,” (if you know, you know!)
In high school I took my first journalism class, learning how to shoot video, write and report on news stories. That led to my first career as a television reporter. More on that in a moment.
After high school I went to Arizona State and studied journalism. I fell in love with the desert and the fantastic weather eight months out of the year.
Eventually, I began reporting and anchoring for a college news program which led to my first job as a reporter in Tucson, AZ.
I jumped to a larger market, Denver, where I reported on everything from politics, protests, drug epidemics and major weather events.
After a decade in the industry and telling some incredible stories from across the state, I decided to pivot. Being a journalist made me an excellent communicator and gave me the skillset to be a great marketer.
After conversations with friends in the real estate industry, I took the plunge and I could not have made a better decision for myself and those I serve.
In my first year in business I was just shy of the Denver area’s Rookie of the Year Award (seriously, it was short by $40k in sales volume).
I grew my business quickly in the following years, becoming known by my peers and clients as an agent who provides an excellent level of service and garners thousands of additional views of my listings over average agents through modern social media and advertising strategies.
From California to Arizona and Colorado, my homes have given me a great appreciation and desire to get outside. Hiking, cycling, skiing and golf get most of my attention these days.
I’m an avid home cook but also love a thoughtful, local restaurant. I still share many of my favorite local spots on Instagram (follow me!)
But nothing makes me happier than traveling the world with my wife and best friend, Liz.
In recent years we’ve been to Mexico City, Anguilla, Portugal, Thailand, Cuba, Puerto Vallarta and Italy. We’re already looking for our next trip, and recommendations are always welcome!
