Last week, I mentioned we'd address some media misinformation. This is part two, focusing on sellers.

When selling your home, there's not much changing. Everything remains negotiable. I’ll sit down with you, explain my service fee, and outline what you’ll get for it. Whether it's 4%, 5%, or 6%, it's all tailored to your needs.

One key change is that the buyer's agent's commission (co-broke) won’t be automatically listed in the MLS anymore. This means the buyer’s agent will need to call me to confirm the commission. As a seller, you’ll have a few options for handling this.

There’s a lot of talk about changes coming to the real estate market, so let's clear the air!

Starting in July, a buyer broker agreement will be mandatory. This means when we sit down, we’ll go over everything, including my service fee for representing you as a buyer’s agent.

In the past, my fee was often covered by the listing agent’s brokerage. Moving forward, if that’s not possible, we’ll have clear options:

- The listing agent’s brokerage pays my fee.
- We include my fee as a seller concession in your offer.
- You cover the fee at closing.
