What an absolute delight it was to finally visit Lavender Coffee Boutique! The Lavender Haze was just what I needed on a hot morning. My client and I twinned with the same drink and were able to snag a table by the window which is a hot commodity!

I so often get stuck in my bubble and miss getting out to explore some of the best coffee shops in town.

So, where should I go next? Taking any and all recommendations because ☕️

I have officially become the crazy puzzle lady 🧩

A dear client introduced me to a few years ago, but I stupidly ignored her rec because a few well-intentioned puzzles cramped my neck during the early days of Covid

Fast forward to a collaboration between Liberty Puzzles and and I was officially intrigued. I ordered my puzzle and jumped in immediately because opening the puzzle was a treat.

The box was beautiful. The pieces were wrapped in beautiful tissue paper and the smell of the laser cut wood pieces was divine. I think it was love at first sight.

The puzzle was so fun to put together and it was a delight to nerd out with a friend about the whimsy pieces that match the theme of the puzzle. Think cocktail shaker, sunglasses and pineapple for my bar scene.

In true, crazy puzzle lady fashion I had to visit the store in Boulder and bought multiple puzzles for friends - as well as the client who introduced me to the brand - and who just sold their home.

THEN, I was back in Boulder two days later to pick up my frame from@the warehouse for my newly completed puzzle - because yes, you can frame your masterpieces.

I cannot say enough about my love of this company and want to spread the word although I think I’m horribly late to the party.

What a night! I’m still riding on a high from Mumford & Sons concert at University of Colorado Boulder. I’ve been playing their music on constant repeat. It was magical to be there with good friends and my husband. Somehow all those years running around in Boulder feel like yesterday!

🚨 RUN - seriously you need to there ASAP - to 🚨

Hand-pulled noodles + dinner and a show? Say less.

I went last week during the cold snap and Magic Noodle House was exactly what the doctor ordered. The noodles were so good I barely stopped to take photos—which honestly tells you everything.

🥒 Cucumber Salad
No flimsy slices here. Big, crunchy pieces tossed in the most addictive sauce. Zero notes.

🐷 Signature Braised Pork Belly Buns
Fluffy buns, rich pork, and surprisingly one of my favorite bites of the night (and I’m not usually a pork person).

🍜 Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles (pictured)
Perfectly balanced, deeply flavorful, with thicker-than-spaghetti noodles that are somehow still light and airy. A must-order.

🥩 Mongolian Beef Sliced Noodle Stir Fry
Thicker cut noodles, bold flavor, and a totally different noodle experience than the Dan Dan—worth trying both.

🥦 Vegetable Stir Fry (pictured)
Not my top noodle dish of the night, but still cooked beautifully and an excellent vegetarian option—and you can swap noodle styles in any dish, which I love.

Bottom line: come hungry, order multiple options, and don’t expect leftovers.

Let’s hear it for High Tea ☕✨

I visited this weekend for Afternoon Tea at and was completely blown away. Without question, it’s the best tea service in town—by a mile, in the Mile High.

I love a proper High Tea and make a point to experience one wherever I travel. I’ve tried nearly every tea service in Denver… except one. Care to guess which? 👀

As expected from the Four Seasons, the service was impeccable, polished yet warm, elevated but never stuffy. Our server, Brittany, made the afternoon especially memorable with her fun, personable approach. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

We opted for the Afternoon Tea and chose a bottle of champagne (instead of the single-glass or bottomless option), then selected Ruby Oolong by —a standout choice.

And the food? Truly next-level. I’m a lifelong scone girl, and these were perfection—fluffy, rich, and indulgent. The tea sandwiches were equally delightful (the egg salad was my favorite), but the pastries stole the show. Normally I’m full by the top tier… not this time. I happily devoured every bite, especially the little carrot cake pot.

✨ Tea etiquette tip: start with the sandwiches (bottom tier), move to the scones, and finish with pastries on top.

Bonus: If you’re heading to a show at the DCPA and spend $75+, you receive complimentary valet—a win-win for a relaxed afternoon and avoiding garage chaos.

Before your next showing, keep these simple (but important) tips in mind:

#1 Wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off

#2 Cabinets and closets are okay — furniture drawers are not

#3 Skip the coffee or beverages during tours

#4 Schedule a showing — please don’t peek through windows

#5 Save commentary for the car or sidewalk

Celebrating one of my favorites at one of my all time favorite spots 🥂

I cannot say enough about the magic of this staff & management. We had the pleasure of hanging with Bella last night who has been there almost 8 years! And of course we all love Mike dearly.

This family shows up for their regulars like no place I’ve ever seen before. I’ve loved Hillstone for ages, but the kindness they’ve shown over the last few months has forever etched this special place in my heart.
