**Economist Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist of NAR shared these 5 promising insights on 2022: **

**A housing crash IS NOT on the horizon.
Yun said controls around subprime lending, low mortgage rates and robust demand from qualified buyers will stave off collapse.

**Mortgage Rate hikes will be manageable.

**Although more hikes are on the way, the Feds possibly will raise rates up to 3.7 percent which still makes mortgage payment to income very manageable.

Just read - In June, National Association of Realtors (NAR) published a study titled, "Housing is Critical Infrastructure," showing that the US has underbuilt its housing needs by at least 5.5 million units over the past 20 years. To fill the gap, the report says, the country will need to build at least 2 million units p*e year for the next decade, a 60% higher production pace than in 2020.

What are your thoughts??
