Many many years ago, my hubby and I read a book by Malcolm Gladwell that talked about realtors. It said that most realtors will try to get you to price your house lower so they can unload it quickly. Sure, they make a little less, but it’s all about quantity. The more houses they can unload quickly, the more money they make. Fast forward to a few months ago when we were looking for a realtor and we invited Kati over from The Spaniak Team. We asked her, what would you list it at, and her answer was EXACTLY what we were thinking. To the penny. And then right before we signed her up, we asked her if maybe we should start even higher. And she said, why not?! So we did. And it paid off. But the funny thing is, this did NOT end up being the reason I loved working with her. It was her team. Her team that checked in on us all the time, even after the house sold. Her team that brought us moving supplies as a gift, including a pizza! Her team that brought us all our drinking glasses and mugs when we accidentally left them in the house. Doh! Her team that constantly took care of us with a huge smile. If you live in the Chicago area and you need a realtor, I can’t say enough good things about The Spaniak Team. It’s all about how well they take care of you. And the money. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t about the money 😉
