The 1st and 2nd Glenwood Waterama Queen's are... in 1957: Patty Vegoe Larson and in 1958: Lois Kettells. Here they are now living it up at the Villa! (If the math doesn't add up to the 70th year, it's because in 1956, Arlys Nelson was crowned "Miss Glenwood" when Waterama first began.)

How long has it been since you checked the expiration date on your over-the-counter medicine? Check out the list below. 👇 Once expired, there is no guarantee that the medication will be effective.

These may be in your drug cabinet or kitchen cupboard:
> Pain Relievers: Aleve, acetaminophen, ibuprofen
> H2 Blockers (Pepcid, Zantac 360)
> PPIs for chronic acid reflux (Prilosec OTC, Nexium 24 HR)
> Antacids (Tums, Malox, Rolaids)
> Laxatives (Colace, Miralax)
> Antidiarrheals (like Imodium)
> Cold, Allergy, and Sinus Relief
> Sleep Aids
> Topical Pain Creams or Patches

If they are outdated, dispose of them properly. Always keep your medications out of reach of children - they can be especially dangerous to them.

Another reminder: Since seniors are more sensitive to medications and may be taking prescription meds, it's important to check for interactions and side effects before taking OTC meds. Always consult a healthcare provider if unsure!
