We know many of you are excited (and anxious!) to hear updates about your housing lottery applications for our new community — and we completely understand! ❤️
To help clear up some confusion, here’s a simple breakdown of how the housing lottery process works for new affordable housing developments:
1️⃣ Applications Closed on Aug 20, 2025:
Step one was submitting your application before the deadline — ✅ that’s done.
2️⃣ Lottery Held on Sept 9, 2025:
Step two was hosting the official lottery, which randomly assigned each applicant a number — ✅ that’s also done!
3️⃣ Checking Interest:
Now that everyone has a lottery number, management is contacting applicants in lottery order to see if they’re still interested. Because a few months have passed since applications first opened, some people may have made other arrangements or changed their mind.
4️⃣ Waiting for Responses:
To keep things fair, we have to give applicants time to respond before moving to the next person. Once we know who’s still interested, we update our list — still in the original lottery order.
5️⃣ Document Review:
Next, again in lottery order, we’ll request financial and eligibility documents. These get reviewed carefully to make sure everything meets program requirements.
6️⃣ Apartment Offers:
Once apartments are ready and paperwork is approved, applicants will be contacted directly if they are selected for a unit.
💡 Please Remember:
This is a brand new construction and an affordable housing community, which means there are many checks and balances involved with the state. It’s not the same as renting a regular market-rate apartment — every step must follow strict rules to make sure the process is fair and accurate.
