Why does a plug burn like this? 🔥

It’s usually one of three things our team sees in the field:
1️⃣ Overloading: Too many high-draw appliances on one circuit.
2️⃣ Loose Connections: Wires that have vibrated loose over time, causing "arcing."
3️⃣ Worn Outlets: If a plug feels "loose" when you push it in, the contact is poor, leading to heat buildup.

If you see discoloration or smell a faint "fishy" or ozone scent near an outlet, don't wait. Kill the breaker and call in the pros. 🛠️

It’s officially 'The Next Chapter' for Mike Wilson! 🛠️ After 21 years at BMM, Mike has retired. He’s been a great Maintenance Tech, a mentor to many, and the ultimate 'Swiss Army Knife' of maintenance. If your dishes haven't been coming out quite as sparkly lately, this little guy is usually the culprit. Its job is to catch food particles so they don't recirculate back onto your clean plates or clog up the drain pump. This one definately needs a good cleaning.
