🏠🇺🇸 BIG NEWS FOR MANUFACTURED HOUSING!
We are incredibly excited about the passage of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act — one of the most significant pieces of federal housing legislation passed in decades.
And for those of us in the manufactured housing industry, there is a LOT to be excited about.
The legislation includes an entire section dedicated to “Manufactured Housing for America” and recognizes something our industry has been saying for years:
Manufactured and factory-built housing can — and should — play a major role in solving America’s housing shortage.
The ROAD to Housing Act takes steps toward removing outdated regulatory barriers, modernizing financing options, encouraging innovation in factory-built housing, and expanding the ways manufactured homes can be built and utilized.
For families in rural communities like ours, this matters.
Manufactured housing provides beautiful, quality homes at price points that can make homeownership attainable for families who are increasingly being priced out of traditional site-built construction.
But for too long, outdated regulations, financing limitations and unnecessary barriers have prevented our industry from reaching its full potential.
This legislation is a huge step in the right direction.
At Mohave Homes, we are incredibly proud to be part of an industry that is finally being recognized at the federal level as an important part of the solution to America’s housing crisis.
There is still work to do at the state and local levels — but this opens the door for some really exciting changes.
