Goldens in Golden is this Saturday, Feb. 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The event will bring a large number of visitors, dogs, and activity to Golden. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead.
Parking & Transportation
•Parking in and around downtown will be very limited.
• Residential parking deterrents and security staff will be in place in 12th Street neighborhood between 11th–13th Streets, and 9th Street neighborhood between 8th–10th Streets.
• Residents are encouraged to use Illinois Street to 19th Street when traveling south of Clear Creek, or Washington Avenue to Highway 58 when traveling north of Clear Creek.
• Free event shuttles will run from The Splash from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to reduce downtown traffic.
Road Closures
• The following roads will be closed Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m.: Washington Avenue from 10th–13th Streets, 11th Street from Washington to Miner’s Alley, and 12th and 13th Streets from Washington to Arapahoe.
• Resident and emergency access will be maintained.
Neighborhood Impacts
• Expect increased foot traffic, noise, and congestion during event hours.
• Event staff, volunteers, and public safety teams will be on site throughout the morning.
This event, along with other off-season activities, is intended to support local businesses while balancing the needs of the surrounding community. We appreciate the patience and flexibility of residents, especially those living nearby, as the event takes place.
