Today, we honor and celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when news of emancipation reached the last enslaved people in Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

As we celebrate this important day in our nation's history, we encourage everyone to reflect, learn, and recognize the contributions and achievements of Black Americans throughout our communities and country.

Did you know that the story of Golden, Colorado, is deeply connected to beer history? In 1873, German immigrant Adolph Coors and his partner Jacob Schueler purchased an abandoned tannery along Clear Creek and transformed it into what became the famous Golden Brewery. By 1874, their first beers were hitting the market, launching a brewing legacy that would help put Golden on the map.

More than 150 years later, the brewery remains an iconic part of Golden's identity, thanks in part to the area's clear mountain water and rich frontier history. What started as a small local operation grew into one of America's most recognizable brewing traditions.
