Hey folks. There is complete devastation in Western Carolinas and Eastern TN. Many roads impassable because of trees down or just simply washed away. No cell phone or internet because the towers have been brought down or the fiber has been cut. If you are looking to help out please go here and make a donation. We are helping people in Florida as well.

My thoughts....The 50 bps rate cut was a little bit of a surprise as everyone was anticipating a .25 rate cut. For the most part, mortgage rates had the cut already baked in, lets see what happens now that they added the additional amount. Even with these cuts, housing prices have continued to rise, so even with a lower interest rate the monthly payment may end up being the same.
