Reminder for tomorrow!
As part of an ongoing effort to improve the electrical distribution system across the installation, a complete electrical outage will occur for 8 hours, from 0800 to 1600 on Friday, 19 June 2026. This time period may shift slightly. During the 19 June 2026 outage, all facilities on base without backup or standby generators except for prioritized mission-critical facilities, will be without power. This outage includes the entirety of base housing. Personnel are reminded to call 911 for emergencies and/or 722-7588 for Fire, 722-1211/1212 for Security Forces. Personnel must exercise caution when driving as traffic signals will not operate. Heritage Hall will serve as a temporary daytime shelter facility if extreme weather conditions are present.

After the power has been fully restored, please report any electrical or heating issues to the Mayroad maintenance team by calling 919-988-6920, option 1, for the 24-hour call center. Our team will be working closely with CE to ensure the successful restoration of service to housing.

Helpful tips for the upcoming base wide power outage

-Keep curtains and blinds closed to reduce heat/cold loss in your home.
-Prepare cold meals and snacks in advance, such as sandwiches, for example, that do not require refrigeration to limit opening refrigerator doors.
-Leave the garage door open or remove vehicles from the garage prior to the outage.
-Prepare frozen water bottles to keep the interior of your refrigerator cold.
-Charge cell phones, power banks, laptops and other electrical devices ahead of time.
-Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible to reduce the risk of food spoilage.
-Once power is restored, check food temperatures before consuming items.
-Remember to reset clocks, thermostats, and appliances after power restoration.

Residents who charge an electric vehicle from their home must be enrolled in the TRO Energy Solutions program and have approved charging equipment installed in accordance with military housing requirements.

Please remember:
🔌 Extension cords and standard outlet charging methods are not permitted.
🔌 All EV charging must be completed through approved TRO-installed equipment.
