Our Story

Tropicana Gardens is a privately owned residence hall that caters to UCSB and SBCC students. With 109 furnished suites, onsite dining, light housekeeping, and on-site Resident Assistants, Tropicana Gardens offers a four-year college residence hall experience for SBCC students, and another great residence hall option for UCSB students. The many events organized by Trop RAs, lush garden-like setting, convenience (door-to-door transportation to SBCC via MTD) and amenities (such as heated pool, recreation room, 24-hour study lounge, and covered/uncovered parking) make Tropicana Gardens extremely popular with students. Your room, choice of 10, 14, 17 or unlimited meals a week in our on-site cafe, light housekeeping and utilities are all included in one easy monthly payment.
