Kick off your weekend at Carnes Crossroads! Join us tonight from 5-8 PM for our 4th Fridays Farmers Market and enjoy a summer evening filled with fresh produce, local vendors, handmade goods, and friendly faces.

Zucchini and yellow squash are thriving on the farm, and our farmers are harvesting them while they’re young and tender for the best flavor and texture.

A few easy ways to cook them:

🔥Grilled: Slice into planks, brush with olive oil, season, and grill.
🍳Quick stir-fry: Slice with peppers, onions, and your favorite protein for an easy weeknight meal.
🧄 Roasted: Toss with olive oil, garlic, salt + pepper and roast until golden.
🛶 Squash boats: Halve, fill with vegetables, grains, or protein, and bake.
🌮 Tacos & bowls: Dice and sauté with your favorite seasonings for an easy addition to almost anything.

Storage tip: Keep squash unwashed in the refrigerator and use within about a week for the best texture.
