When New England decides to throw a snowstorm our way, it’s like the whole state collectively sighs, “Alright… here we go again.” ❄️ As we dig out the boots, dodge the grocery-store rush (why do we all suddenly need five loaves of bread?), and mentally prepare for driveway cardio, but there’s one group that doesn’t get to stay inside like the rest of us.

Our EMTs, police officers, firefighters, dispatchers, DPW crews, plow drivers, and utility workers will be out there in the thick of it, keeping our communities safe and moving — and they definitely deserve a shoutout for that.

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably running through your pre-storm checklist and making sure the essentials are covered:
• Make sure your heating system is running well and exterior vents are clear
• Let faucets drip slightly and open cabinet doors on exterior walls to help prevent frozen pipes
• Charge phones, flashlights, and backup batteries
• Put ice melt down early on steps and walkways
• Stock up on snacks (because if we’re stuck inside, snacks are basically survival gear 🍫)

Storms are part of life here, but a little prep makes everything easier. Check on neighbors if you can, stay warm, and make the most of a snow day at home. ❄️ Stay safe!

Home sellers: do you know how this affects you? Simply put, you cannot legally accept an offer if the buyer waives a home inspection. Yes, that’s correct!

Buyers: You can not waive an inspection until after your offer has been accepted.
