A Bonus tip for Buyers. Once you start the home buying process, avoid any negative changes to your credit score, income, or even your debt-to-income ratio. A negative change can cause you to lose financing.

One of the biggest things lenders and agents will tell their clients is to avoid any big purchases on credit cards until after closing. This includes opening new credit cards and making a big purchase on those too!

Tip # 2 for Buyers is to make a "Want vs Need" list. It not only helps you narrow down what your new home needs to have vs what you would like it to have. It helps give your agent a clear idea of what homes will fit your needs first, and maybe a few wants too!
