🔥 How old is your furnace? Here’s how to find out.

If you’re buying a home or just curious about your own furnace, you can often figure out its age in just a few minutes.

🔎 Look for the manufacturer’s label on the furnace. It’s usually located on the side, inside the front panel, or near the burner compartment.

📅 Check for a manufacture date. Some labels make it easy and print the month and year right on them.

🔢 No date? Find the serial number. Many manufacturers build the manufacture date into the serial number, but each brand does it differently.

📱 Take a picture of the label and search the brand + serial number age lookup, or check the manufacturer’s website.

🏠 Real estate tip: Don’t judge a furnace by how shiny it looks. Knowing its age can help you plan for future maintenance or replacement costs.
