Robert,
It feels as though we were robbed of a proper goodbye. When I held your hand that day and you said, "It’s time for me to go to a different world," I thought you were just feeling low—that you'd come through it. I see now that I was wrong. You knew something else was wrong, didn’t you?
As you left our building, you asked, "Will you visit me?" and I promised we would. But everything moved so quickly. You went west to be with your sister, and I truly believed you'd come back to us. And you did go home—just not to this home, but to a better one.
Rest in peace, Robert. Chrysalis will miss your warm heart and gentle spirit. I know you’re tending heavenly gardens and taking long walks beside God now.
