Please spay / neuter pets. So many are being euthanized.
Today we want to publicly thank one of our incredible volunteers—because what she did today was not easy. 💔
She took 22 phone calls.
Yes—twenty-two.
And sadly, most of those calls were spent telling people that we could not take their pets.
We are one small rescue. And the number of unwanted pets we hear about every single day is staggering:
• People moving
• “Not enough time”
• Behavioral challenges
• Accidental litters
• Changes in family circumstances
You name it—we hear it.
By the end of the day, this volunteer left in tears. Not because she didn’t care—but because she cared so much. This part of rescue work is absolutely heartbreaking, and it takes an emotional toll that most people never see.
At Happy Little Rescue, we are doing everything we can—but we cannot fix this crisis without help from the community.
👉 Please spay and neuter your pets.
It is one of the most compassionate, impactful things you can do to prevent this pain—for animals, for rescues, and for the humans trying to help.
To our volunteer: thank you for carrying this weight today. You mattered to every single caller, even when the answer had to be no. 🧡
