In honor of National Devil’s Food Cake Day, we’re celebrating with the ultimate chocolate dessert! 😍 Rich, moist, and covered in creamy chocolate frosting — this classic cake is the perfect sweet treat to enjoy at home.
🍰 Easy Devil’s Food Cake Recipe 🍰
✨ Cake Ingredients:
• 1 ¾ cups flour
• 2 cups sugar
• ¾ cup cocoa powder
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup hot coffee or hot water
✨ Frosting Ingredients:
• 1 cup butter
• 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
• ¾ cup cocoa powder
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 4–5 tbsp milk or cream
👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two cake pans.
2️⃣ Mix all dry ingredients together.
3️⃣ Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla.
4️⃣ Slowly mix in hot coffee or water.
5️⃣ Bake for 30–35 minutes.
