With $230,000 of Investment, I do believe, we have authorization to speak in regards to Our Experience with Preferred Homes of Grand Rapids .
Is the siding fixed, No.
Is the Door trim fixed, No.
Are the Upgrade package Windows what we were told they would be, given ligature on, NO, if fact they are windows for Tennessee, Texas and California, Our home is in Michigan!
Hope these experiences educate you on purchasing a home, read the fine print!
Never sign away your Rights, they forgot to have us sign that paper!

Over year since finale payment was made and yet they still refuse to finish the job.
Entire back splash is supposed to be replaced per Preferred Homes who is our contractor, Preferred Homes our point of sale and Fremont Homes Representative.
Fairmont Homes didn't want to send an employee to do the work and we were told to get estimates.
Estimates were provided and we are told they will give us a $1000 less than the estimate and that is all.
As we have said in the past, do not sign any (we didn't) waivers, consult an attorney before purchasing and if you purchase ensure finale payment can not be drawn without your signature.....

Ps. They did even install the correct color.

We are at 1 year and yet to have correct tile installed.
Exterior water faucets that do not turn or don't turn off.
Run around, run around run around.
Again I will state, if you purchase a home through this company or use this contractor, please, seek legal counsel before signing anything.

We have been repeatedly asked to take down this page unless we feel Preferred Homes should not be in business of building homes.
Well, it is my opinion Preferred Homes should not be in the business of being a contractor.
You asked and I have answered.
You had an opportunity to just fix all the mistake without me pointing out the building codes.
You have made the mistake of believing I would back down.....

We are expected to accept the Occupancy Permit and allow the full 100% Construction Loan payment of project to be made.
This quality of construction is Absurd.
They say they will fix it AFTER we move in.
I am about to Loose my Mind.....
