Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer and it’s only a few days away! The temps here in western Michigan have already started to cool off a little and there is pumpkin spice EVERYWHERE. Fall feels like it’s right around the corner. Is there anything you want to do before summer ends? We’d like to get a little more lake time and make a few more sandcastles. What’s on your summer bucket list?

It’s National S’mores day (who knew that was a thing?!)! Everyone seems to have their preferred way to make them with different types of candies or marshmallows. I like mine classic with a charred marshmallow, whereas my wife likes hers just lightly toasted. Our kids just want to eat all of the chocolate. What is your recipe for everyone’s favorite fireside treat?

Have you checked out the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture park? My family loves going there. It’s so close to our house in Ada and it’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors. The kids love the children’s garden and my wife loves all of the beautiful flowers.

Stumbled upon this beautiful park in Ada the other day. It has a rock wall on the side of an old silo, a cute little playground, and some great walking paths. The public restrooms are housed in this amazing building with a living roof. Check it out the next time you are in Ada.
