Real Estate Agent Bio

I was raised in Portage, Michigan by two wonderful immigrant parents from the Netherlands. After graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, I worked in sales in the home furnishings industry. Eventually, it became obvious to me that I was ready for a change. Because gardening is a passion of mine, I decided to start a gardening business. After 13 years of loving and growing my gardening business the time had come for me to sell the business and move on. I took a few years off to enjoy being a mother and some “me” time and decided I was not ready to be “retired.” Considering all the things that I enjoy, I realized real estate would be my next calling and Coldwell Banker seemed to be the perfect fit for me! I truly feel that real estate is a lifetime endeavor and have found it immensely rewarding and gratifying to assist people with their real estate needs and dreams. I believe in giving back to my community and volunteer at the Kids Food Basket. Additionally, I am on the parent board for my son's high school, Culver Academies in Indiana. I also helps out when I can at my younger son's school. I have lived in the Grand Rapids area of Michigan for 28 years and service the Greater Grand Rapids area to the lakeshore. I also delight in sharing what the beautiful Michigan area lifestyle has to offer my clients with my local knowledge and expertise; which include a multitude of outdoor activities offering gorgeous nature trails and parks for walking, hiking and biking together with boating, fishing and skiing along with wonderful dining, boutique shopping and events, activities and outdoor music concerts are a must in Michigan in the summer too! I also likes to share that I enjoy spending time with my family and our dogs and I have a dedicated husband who is an incredibly supporting man and father of two magnificent boys.
