Sarah Medina, Realtor

Sarah Medina, Realtor I help growing families upsize in West Michigan. Grand Rapids is the number 1 housing market “poised for growth” in the US and I am proud to call it home.

I can be your resource for date night, girls’ night, and upcoming festivals and activities. Those things are so much fun and I enjoy going to them with my husband and my friends, or sometimes, just my dog! There are so many hot new restaurant and a few hidden gems I can guide you to. One of my favorite parts of this business is being able to share my love of GR with you! I needed something new. I

felt like work was simply “the daily grind” and I wanted to grow something so I left my safe, cozy, comfortable job in healthcare and began a career in real estate. My skills from 10 years in surgery help me in real estate every day, whether its problem solving, achieving customer satisfaction, dealing with vendors, negotiating, understanding financing, or being a leader. I have invested in the education and continuing studies for the formal training I need to serve you well. My goal is to find the right home for you. We’ll take all of the time necessary to do that. I’ll be honest with you about a property and will openly share my observations and opinions. For sellers, I’ll be honest about setting the price for your home. I’ll share my expertise on what will help sell your home and what the challenges might be, and I like challenges! I promise to point you in the direction of fair, legitimate, and honest vendors whether it’s in a title company, mortgage broker, or inspection service. And if I’m not the right person to help you, I’ll admit it and be able to introduce you to somebody who is. One of my primary roles as a Realtor is as negotiator. I’ll work with buyers and sellers and their reciprocal agents and clients to negotiate the best deal for you. It is very important to make sure you are making a wise decision on your investment. Together, we can avoid costly real estate mistakes to ensure you are as pleased and comfortable in your new home as well as the investment you’ve made. I’ll also help you through the home inspection process, one of the most difficult phases of buying or selling a home. I’ll guide you through what should be fixed or not fixed; what needs attention; what’s fair or not fair, etc. Too often, this is where transactions fall through and they shouldn’t. I understand your urgency in purchasing or selling a home and I will dedicate my time and effort to do this quickly, efficiently, and accurately. If you choose me to be your Realtor, I promise you Grand Rapids can become your home, too... Find out for yourself and give me a call or send me an email.

Did you know that 1/3 of high school grads never read a book after high school? 📚

That stat blows my mind because reading has been such a huge part of my life.

There's something magical about getting lost in a story or learning something new from the pages of a book.

I personally like nonfiction, but also love checking out anything that everyone is raving about like a New York Times Best Seller.

Do you have a fave I should read? What's the last book that swept you off your feet?

If you’re not a reader, what’s holding you back?

Buyers, take note!

There’s a huge difference between a real estate agent and a GOOD real estate agent when it comes to having a successful buying experience.

‌While any real estate agent can get you into a showing and list off the facts on the home’s flier, a good real estate agent will do so much more for you.

‌A good real estate agent will show you the value of the home–both short and long-term. They’ll be able to show you what the area is like and what its growth potential is, what restrictions you’ll deal with, and other opportunities with the home.

‌This is all to give you the best understanding of the home’s true value and how it can not only give you a safe place to live but also become a key part of your investment portfolio.

"The best time to buy or sell a home is during the spring." More Lies!

While spring is traditionally considered the busiest season for real estate due to factors like improved weather and the end of the school year, it's not necessarily the best time for everyone.

Market conditions, local factors, and personal circumstances can all influence the ideal timing for buying or selling a home.

In some cases, buying or selling during less competitive seasons like winter or fall may lead to better deals or less competition.

Think about YOUR specific needs and consult with a real estate professional (ie: ask me) to determine the best timing for your real estate transaction.
