Last week, we shared local housing stats. Here’s some national September stats courtesy of NAR.

September 2024 brought 3.84 million in sales, a median sales price of $404,500, and 4.3 months of inventory. The median sales price is up 3.0% year-over-year, and inventory was up 0.9 months from September 2023.

This could have some huge potential - very interesting to see what plans Microsoft has for 316 acres in Gaines Township plus 272 acres in Dorr Township. That's similar to land in Wisconsin where they are building a $3 billion data center. They plan on investing up to $100 billion on data centers in the US. Looks like we might get some big ones in the Grand Rapids area!

Things have been busy at the Clarity and we haven't been keep you updated on the latest developments but we are back at it with the biggest development in Grand Rapids history! Clocking in at close to a billion dollars, these three towers of office, hotel, apartments, condos, retail and parking will be built on the 6 acre lot right on the Grand River and totally change the city. The office tower has single user (1600 employees) and should break ground first. There are a bunch of details and renderings at the link below. Such exciting times for our city!

The City of Grand Haven is set to choose a developer this week to redevelop Chinook Pier in this beach town after it had to be torn down due to mold back in 2020. Markets, retail, resaturants and even a Children's Museum are some of the ideas the developers are proposing.
