Rockford recently joined partners and community leaders to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the OSI Art Apartments in Detroit’s Woodbridge neighborhood, a project grounded in creativity, purpose and impact.

Blending attainable housing with artistic expression and neighborhood energy, this development delivers 30 new apartments and commercial space designed to support local businesses and makers.

We’re proud to stand alongside partners who share our commitment to building enduring spaces — projects that are as resilient and hardworking as the communities they serve.

The new Osi Art Apartments building includes 30 units — half of which are aimed at being affordable to those earning 80% of the area median income — and 5,000 square feet of commercial space.

At Corewell Health Crane Haven Cancer Center, a former emergency department was thoughtfully transformed with the whole patient in mind, embracing a holistic approach.

At the heart of it all is a carefully curated outdoor healing garden, a place where patients can step outside, connect with nature and find moments of calm and restoration. Paired with serene views from the infusion bays, the connection to the outdoors plays a powerful role in reducing stress, supporting emotional well-being and enhancing the healing environment.

We partnered with Amway to deliver a 60,000 sq. ft. workplace transformation of The Commons, featuring a bold new entrance, modern workspaces and a welcoming employee café.

From coordinating the integration of mass timber and large-scale glass systems to ensuring every premium finish met the highest standards, this project reflects what’s possible when design and construction align.

In recognition of , we’re proud of projects that enhance outdoor spaces and bring people together.

Rockford served as construction manager for the transformation of Lyon Square along the Grand River, creating a vibrant, four-season riverfront destination. With new seating, greenery, lighting and flexible space for events, the park connects people to the river while supporting trail access and community gathering.

Outdoor spaces like Lyon Square play an important role in strengthening community, encouraging connection and creating inclusive places for people to gather year-round.

Our Detroit team believes that being active in the community is just as important as the work we do in it.

At Build Detroit at Eastern Market last month, we connected with local high school and CTE students to share opportunities in the skilled trades and help spark interest in future careers. These moments, showing up, building relationships and sharing knowledge, are what community involvement is all about.

We were excited to join Detroit Country Day School for the groundbreaking of the reimagined Shaw Stadium! This milestone kicks off a dynamic transformation — upgrading the turf, track, scoreboard, lighting and landscaping, while improving accessibility and expanding seating from 800 to 1,200.

As the “front porch” and heart of campus, Shaw Stadium is being designed to welcome every scholar athlete and visitor with an elevated, inclusive experience.
