My taste in architecture usually tends to favor more modern design, yet there’s something about gilded age mansions that always fascinated me. The grandeur of these opulent residences and how they were build before mass produced homes. The detail and hand laid flooring, walls, patios, all of it done by hand is truly unique and will never be replicated. Unfortunately these are a few of the last ones standing. What are your thoughts on gilded age architecture?
