In honor of Valentine’s Day, meet the faces of Common Grace Capital who also happen to be husband and wife of almost 32 years! This post is written by Chloe (their daughter and employee, although they didn’t ask me to write this). They have modeled to so many what it looks like to be a great team. My dad is a visionary. He’s great at coming up with creative ideas to make things work. He’s also one of the most disciplined people I know and full of integrity. He will work until the job gets done, always takes “extreme ownership,” and never cuts corners. My mom is organized, artistic, and crazy smart. She can see and create systems out of chaos. She is great at underwriting, designing homey spaces for renters, and making us laugh in all situations. Best part of all, they love and support each other so well. They see the other person as a perfectly designed gift from God- the one to see blind spots, encourage strengths, and be a witness to all parts of life. I (and their other 7 kids, four kids in law, and 7 grandkids) are extremely grateful to have such a fantastic model of love.
