I’m really, really proud of this one. 🤍
This may have been one of my hardest and greatest accomplishments in real estate yet. My client’s momma passed, and her home was beautiful. But, as many people know, there is so much work that has to be done when someone passes. Emptying the house, making decisions, handling the details… it’s a lot.
When I got to the listing appointment, the family had already worked so hard. My client wanted to get a strong number for the home, and after running comps, we realized we would be asking for the highest price any of these condos had sold for yet. Being on a corner by a busy road, we knew this one would need some prayer and an extra sprinkle of hard work to make it happen. My client was ready to head back home to Georgia, handed the keys to his Homegirl, and said, “It’s yours.” So I got to work.
I cleaned it, staged it, marketed it, hosted open houses, watched over the property, helped coordinate the remaining items that needed to be packed up, and did everything I could to make sure we hit our goal. The neighbors came through the open house and were shocked at what this sale could mean for values in the neighborhood if we pulled it off. My client actually told me after closing, “The neighbors should love you now.” 🥰😂 He was able to stay in Georgia the entire time while I handled things here. And in the end, we closed on a full-price offer. 🙌
The family is grateful, and honestly, so am I. I’m grateful for the trust they placed in me during such a difficult season and for the opportunity to help carry some of that burden. In the end, this wasn’t really about setting a record price or getting a full-price offer. It was about helping someone through one of life’s hardest seasons. Giving him the relief of knowing his mom’s home had been cared for, sold well, and that this chapter could finally be put to rest.
That’s the kind of real estate work that fills my cup. 🤍
