Guten tag - we hosted a fun Oktoberfest event yesterday! We nibbled on pretzel bites and beer cheese, sausage, sauerkraut, apple strudel, German chocolate cake and more! It was an incredibly groovy and far-out experience for all of us to dress up like hippies for the day! Here at Sequoia Grove, we certainly do not take ourselves too seriously. Draw, Texas Hold ‘Em, and Follow the Queen are just a few of our Sunday Night Poker Club’s favorites. Every Sunday evening after supper, Judith and the gents head up to our game lounge to sit around the table for laughs, sarcasm and camaraderie. Judith, 91, is learning to play Poker for the first time in her life and the guys are having a hoot teaching her. She appreciates their patience and guidance, and they appreciate her s***k and humor! They also said she beats them a whole lot! We love the friendships and fun found inside Sequoia Grove! ♣️♥️♠️
