I got to bring the kiddos along for a couple work errands! I believe it's important to include your children in daily work and mundane chores. Contrary to popular opinion, the most important learning doesn't primarily happen in a classroom. It happens nightly around the dinner table, while picking up toys and making beds, mowing the lawn, or in our case - when you're running errands and installing "For Sale" signs.
If your kids are only around you for life's highlights, like ice cream runs and vacations, they won't experience and appreciate what it takes to build and maintain a marriage, family, and business. We like to outsource everything, but there's one thing you should never outsource...parenting your kids.
I'm thankful I was taught how to work hard because it made me who I've become as a mom, and Realtor. It's not a license or a degree that truly makes you competent, it's the emotional IQ and character traits developed over decades... especially formed when you're young.
So, if you see us around Grants Pass, we're currently enrolled in the summer program of the "School of Hard Knocks." And so far, my favorite students are getting A+’s. 😊
