Not every part of selling rural property is glamorous.

Sometimes it means helping landowners navigate the process of removing a broken-down truck that’s been sitting on the property for years.

In this case, the vehicle wasn’t even theirs. Just abandoned long ago and left to become another obstacle in the way of moving forward.

A lot of folks don’t realize there’s actually a legal process for this, but with the right guidance, it’s manageable.

Spent time this week walking large-acreage ground in the Lake Creek area, studying access, terrain, water features, and how the land actually feels on foot. The drone can show the big picture, but the real story is usually tucked down in the draws, along the creek, under the timber, and in the little details you only find by getting boots on the ground.

Little Butte Creek was the highlight. Clear water, shade, rock, privacy, and the kind of setting that reminds you why rural Southern Oregon land has such a strong pull.

This is one of my favorite parts of land work: figuring out not just what a property is on paper, but how someone could actually experience it.

Gold Hill's Annual Gold Dust Day Heritage Celebration is almost here! Ten more days to go! Please note closed areas for this event.
2nd Avenue from Dardanelles to Gustaf will be closed for the street fair from 6:00am to 4:00pm. The Gold Dust Day Parade will be marching down 2nd Ave from 10:00am to almost 11:00am from Patrick Elementary School to Dardanelles. Estremado will be close to vehicle traffic from 1st Ave to 2nd Ave. If you have vehicles on this stretch of Estremado please make other arrangements for the day. We appreciate those who live in the area and know this event could be inconvenient but it is only for a few hours once a year. No vehicle parking on 2nd Ave from June 5 evening through June 6 at 4:00pm. We will be marking vendor spaces on Friday evening.
