š” A win worth paying attention to for Georgia families.
For years, many homebuyers have felt like they werenāt just competing against other familiesāthey were competing against Wall Street.
With new federal legislation now in effect, large institutional investors are limited in the number of single-family homes they can own, a change aimed at giving more Georgia families a fair opportunity to purchase a home. Metro Atlanta has one of the highest rates of corporate-owned single-family housing in the country, making this especially significant for our state. (Georgia Public Broadcasting)
Will this solve every affordability challenge? No.
But itās a step toward creating a housing market where everyday buyers have a better chance to compete.
As a Georgia REALTORĀ® and resident, Iām encouraged by any effort that helps make homeownership more attainable and easier to understand. My goal has always been to educateānot persuadeāso Iāll be following this closely and sharing what it means for buyers, sellers, and our communities.
What are your thoughts? Do you think this will make a difference for Georgia homebuyers?
