Before you say, “They should know this by now,” ask yourself: “Have I taken the time to teach them?”
That’s where being a mentor starts.
Someone helped you learn to read the plans, think through a problem, or understand why a detail matters. They gave you their time and the benefit of their experience.
Now it’s your turn.
Explain the why. Make room for questions. Give feedback someone can use. Follow up until they can carry the responsibility with confidence.
